Home Sweet Home!

I'm Home Again!!!
After 5 1/2 weeks on the front lines of Albania; bringing the hope, joy, and love of the gospel, I'm finally Home Sweet Home!
It was such a fulfilling trip. I feel like I was able to do everything that I'd hoped to. Along with the great staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, Jete Studentore, YWAM(Youth With A Mission), and members of the local church, we were able to have the two-week camp we wanted to for the kids of the gypsy area, set a foundation for the mentor program with college students (teaching them the art of service and inviting them in to the life of ministry), and invest in to the

I was able to see the purpose of short-term missions
... it brings an excitement and rejuvenation into the leadership teams there. And helps to give new ideas to the long-term missionaries who have committed their lives to the community God called them to.

I was able to see the possibility of a new generation
... kids have a view of the world given to them through the traditions of their parents, but when the traditions are ones of violence and anger, lost-ness and darkness, or selfishness and condemnation a new opportunity needs to be at least given.

I was able to give new hope to a stagnant community
... There was a change! They were excited to learn; to yell out, "I AM STRONG, I AM BEAUTIFUL, SMART and IMPORTANT!"
and if just one kid, student, church leader, or random stranger sees the the value of these words in their lives, then darkness trembles and Hope Rises.

While this post signifies the end of the "Going To Albania" adventure, it doesn't mean the end of my life, or even the end of ministry in my life. I'm actually growing this whole idea of a video blog into something bigger...

I would like to personal invite you to follow along with me in the adventure of following God on my new-full website
...

...
This website will display all of the adventures which God is calling me to; with an invitation for you to follow along with me, while you go on the adventure of your own.

Thank you so much for following this blog and helping to make Hope a little more available for the people of Albania. Please enjoy the final video blog!  And be sure to check out what's coming up next on the new website.

A Double Header

This Blog carries the special title of "Double Header" because of its two-for-one video deal. The first video "I Went in to a Castle" shows off my overnight vacation. I got to go to another city, Berat, maybe 3 hours away and experience a little homestyle living with Edi and Kala.

The second video "And the Walls Came Crumbling Down" talks about how awesome these past two weeks have been. If you are ever faced with an "insurmountable wall" something you just feel will never give or you will never get past, know that God is wonderful at making the insurmountable fall down.   :)

"When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the
sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the
wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they
 took the city.

We are light!

     We are light...
What do these word mean? What does it mean when we say we are light in the darkness? While this blog might not answer your question directly it will shed a little truth on the situation. ;) Come and see what I'm doing with the Lord now in Albania and how one program I'm working with is seeking to share the love of Christ with a darkening world.
"Drawn out of darkness... Into the LIGHT!"

      Philippians 2:14-15
"Do everything with an open and willing heart, so that you can be free of the compression of life in this darkened world, so that you will shine like stars in the universe, holding out the word of life..."

I hope you've liked it. Have a great day. Ciao!

"Qe Bona" (What's Up)

With two weeks now under the belt here in the lovely Albania, this video helps to show 'Whats Up'. Cool tidbit is, this phrase "Qe Bona" is the phonetic pronunciation of the Albanian words for What's Up!

Love you all,
Keep looking for the upcoming posts.

A Walk through Elbasan

For those of you who haven't quite had the chance to make it to Albania this is a fun little way to see the city. I love walking around the city and enjoy seeing the many different cultural, social, and economic lifestyles of the Albanian people. My favorite part of THIS video is the live turkeys lined up on the side of the road; that was a first for me. (Not a performance)

Live turkeys, old men, and trees; with a title like that and the comedic voice-over your sure to enjoy this comical run-through of the place which I will call home for the next few weeks.... The Shume Bukur (beautiful) Elbasan, Albania.

Enjoy this lovely walk-through and keep looking forward to more coming your way soon.

I haven't been able to get any film of "the ministry" that I'm doing here yet but I promise I am working. ;) it will be coming soon!

Finally, I've Arrived

From the beginning I've been raising money, growing the vision, and building contacts/plans in Albania. Well, Finally, I've Arrived!

Oh man what an amazing view that is; the one with the cross in front of Elbasan as we are driving in to the valley. I wasn't even sure that was there it just came in the screen when I was filming. Yet, its a beautiful picture of what this whole trip is about; bringing the Love of Jesus (with all of its realness and compassion) in to Elbasan.

It's been so nice to see old friends, revisit old places, and rekindle the love which God put on my heart for this place.

Glad to be back!
